Afina Energy Inc is a leading gasification company that utilizes proprietary low severity gasification and gas conditioning technology to convert low value hydrocarbon residuals such as asphaltenes, bitumen, petroleum coke, tars and heavy oils into high value products such as: low carbon syngas, syngas, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and steam.  Afina Energy deploys its technology through direct plant ownership, joint ventures or long-term license agreements to deliver innovative energy solutions for oil producers, refiners, chemical or power producers.

Afina’s system differs from other gasification technology by using a “Low Severity Gasification Process”, also known as “Partial Oxidation” (POX), which results in lower equipment and operating costs as well as flexible operating requirements. Afina Energy’s system can be tailored to meet ultra clean energy applications using a variety of carbon based fuels to produce energy with a lower carbon footprint than utilizing natural gas.
